(NASDAQ: CSTR), reached a major movie milestone today with the rental of its one billionth movie.  “Clash of the Titans”, rented from a redbox® location in Tampa, Fla., was the one billionth movie rented.  The milestone occurs only six years after the popular red kiosks first debuted in Denver, Colo.  Today, redbox has more than 24,000 convenient locations nationwide.

Redbox Announces National Expansion to CVS/pharmacy Locations

DVD rental kiosks will be available at thousands of CVS/pharmacy locations by the end of 2011

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. – Redbox Automated Retail, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSTR), will roll out fully automated redbox® DVD rental kiosks at CVS/pharmacy locations nationwide, including Puerto Rico and Longs Drug locations in Hawaii. The national rollout, which comes on the heels of a successful pilot program at select CVS/pharmacy locations, will start this quarter with approximately 700 installations by the end of 2010. The rollout is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.

Paramount Concludes Test, Agrees to Provide DVD and Blu-ray Titles to redbox Day and Date

HOLLYWOOD, CA and OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL (June 15, 2010) — Paramount Home Entertainment Inc. (PHE) and Redbox Automated Retail, LLC (redbox), today announced that Paramount exercised its option to extend its revenue sharing license agreement, providing redbox access to PHE DVD and Blu-ray titles to rent at its approximately 22,000 kiosk locations on the same day they are released in the sell-through market. PHE exercised its option following results from a 10-month analysis of DVD sell-through and rental performance.

The rollout is slated to begin immediately and is expected to be complete in June.   This follows Schnucks' decision to replace its existing DVD kiosk provider with redbox, an industry leader in the DVD rental kiosk market.

Redbox is the exclusive supplier of DVD rental kiosks to NEXCOM and currently more than 66 redbox kiosks can be found on 47 of the 56 Naval installations in the continental U.S.  The company expects to install approximately 20 additional kiosks at NEXCOM bases throughout 2010, including Pearl Harbor this summer.
